Listing Taxonomy
Automating for Speed to Market
Role: Lead UX Designer Timeline: 2 week sprints
Software: Figma, Miro, LucidChart
Project Overview: In an effort to automate more listing processes, listing taxonomy would apply categories at an item level that would help streamline that items listing process on all of Spreetails marketplaces.
Admin Taxonomy Editing
In order to create this product, each Item will be need to be mapped to an internal spreetail category listing. Once mapped, that item can then be assigned to each individual marketplaces category, streamlining the listing process- The first step to creating the product was to allow the administrator access to create, move, and edit internal spreetail categories.
Internal Category Mapping
From there, each internal category is linked to the closest corresponding marketplace category. In this case, the internal "Pool Filters” category is mapped to the appropriate category in each marketplace.
Item-level Mapping
Once our Internal categories were linked to their external marketplaces, we could apply attributes and categories at an item level and automate their listing attributes to almost all marketplaces where the item could be listed. This vastly reduced the labor required to get an item listed.
Move Selected Items Between Categories
The final step in this product was to create an editing platform capable of bulk updating items by moving them to new or different categories. This will inevitably occur when listing with new marketplaces, or when new categories on existing marketplaces arise.
